4 June 2017, 9:00 am – 4:30 pm • Hotel Yak and Yeti Kathmandu A pre-conference workshop at the Asia-Pacific Regional Early Childhood Development (ECD) Conference and 3rd High-Level Policy Forum on ECCE
This one-day pre-conference workshop will explore the new, emerging concept of Education Diplomacy. This dynamic approach fills a critical gap that currently exists between leadership and advocacy training by employing broader diplomatic strategies to promote and advance ECD policies and services. ACEI’s 5L Education Diplomacy pre-conference workshop will provide an overview of Education Diplomacy and discuss critical diplomatic skills and strategies that can lead to transformative change in ECD. Such skills include negotiation, consensus building, compromise, and partnership building.
Individuals working to advance ECD at every level—from formal and non-formal learning environments, family, and community, to local, national, and global initiatives—require skill-based strategies in order to place ECD at the forefront.
